  • Overview

    We are hiring a Accounts Payable Specialist, to work as part of our finance team, located at our corporate headquarters in St. Michael, MN.  If you join our team as a Account Payable Specialist, you will work in a high volume, fast paced team that collaborates directly with customers from many industries.  This position can be temporary, temp-to-perm or a full-time non-exempt role.  This role is a great entry into our finance team and pays an hourly rate plus great benefits.  

    Responsibilities

    Follow proper procedures to accurately:

    • Match vendor invoices to internal purchase orders
    • Enter vendor invoices within the correct reporting period for both US and Canadian vendors
    • Enter vendor freight invoices accurately and timely
    • Attention to detail working on researching and resolving discrepancies
    • Monitor accounts payable email inbox
    • Process payment runs as necessary for both US and Canadian vendors
    • Work with vendors to maintain a positive business relationship
    • Assist with annual 1099 processing and vendor analysis
    • Actively monitor AP aging lists to maintain vendor credit terms
    • Communicate within a collaborative environment to actively improve the overall work flow and processes
    • Provide back up support for Concur and corporate card administration
    • Provide back up support for entry of non-PO vendor invoices
    • Provide back up support for completion of new vendor request paperwork
    • Provide back up support for vendor document retention policy in SharePoint
    • Provide back up support for month-end A/P accrual preparation

    Qualifications

    • 2 year Accounting degree or equivalent accounts payable experience
    • Minimum five (5) year of accounts payable processing experience
    • Concur invoice highly desirable 
    • Excellent “follow through” of tasks
    • High attention to detail
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Great attitude, team player
    • Open to change and performance in a fast paced environment
