    As a Sr. Project Engineer you will support the Engineering Team by preparing project documentation related to process and equipment design to support the project team.  You will ensure U.S. Water quality standards are maintained throughout the execution phase of projects.  You will act as a technical expert for internal and external customers on engineering related items.

    Responsibilities

    • Reviews Sales proposals, estimates, quotes, customer plans and specifications to establish project requirements and supports the project design process
    • Selects/sizes main system components such as pumps, valves and meters
    • Provides process review including water chemistry, hydraulic and instrumentation perspective for system troubleshooting support, customer communication, and corrective action
    • Reviews and approves Process and Instrumentation Diagrams depicting process design
    • Reviews and approves General Arrangement Drawings depicting equipment design
    • Provides engineering calculations as required and peer reviews others calculations
    • Ensure manufactured equipment conforms to project requirements
    • Assist Purchasing with the qualification process for new suppliers to expand US Water's equipment capabilities
    • Lead development projects of new standard product offerings

     

     

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of water treatment experience or industrial equipment experience
    • Bachelors in Mechanical or Civil Engineering preferred or must have technical aptitude and equivalent experience  
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Strong communication skills and ability to lead design focused teams
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to attain registration
