    As a CAD Designer you will support our Engineering Team members by creating project documentation related to hydraulic and water process and equipment design to support the project team.  This position is located at our corporate headquarters in St. Michael, MN or possibly our Tonka Water office in Plymouth, MN. You will prepare layouts of complete products and complex processes requiring the application of a variety of standardized drawing techniques and computations. 

     

    Responsibilities

    • Ensures U.S. Water quality standards are maintained throughout the execution phase of projects

      Acts as a technical resource for internal and external customers on design related items

    • Reviews Sales proposals, estimates, quotes, customer plans and specifications to establish project requirements and creates designs and prepares engineering drawings with oversight
    • Work with project team to review customer requirements for equipment size, function and process design to assure proper drawing representation with oversight.
    • Create Process & Instrumentation Diagrams that captures components, hydraulics, chemical feed, electrical, etc. for use by project team and customer
    • Create General Arrangement Drawings that are used to communicate critical design details to the project team and customer
    • Create fabrication/installation/assembly drawings for use by internal production team and external fabricators and contractors
    • Ensure manufactured equipment conforms to project requirements and standard design
    • Assist in the development of new standard product offerings

    Qualifications

    • 1+ years of water treatment experience or industrial equipment experience
    • Two year Associate Degree, technical field preferred or equivalent experience 
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Strong communication skills
    • At least 1 year of 3D modeling software - prefer Solidworks

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
